When you're consuming alcohol, your liver is breaking it down instead of producing glucose which is crucial for your performance during exercise. Your body is prioritizing the alcohol because it's a toxin that needs to be filtered out as soon as possible. A lack of glucose in your body will result in you feeling less motivated when needing to work out and more drained, whereas glucose (sugar) fuels your energy levels and improves your stamina. Cutting your alcohol intake will instantly improve your durability which will impact how long you last during workouts massively.
