NMF: Has fitness always been a major part of your life or was there a catalyst/point in your life when you made it more of a focus and priority?

AT: I've enjoyed being active and outside since I was a little girl, but it became more of a priority during my late teens/early 20's as I started to move through new transitions in life. For me, fitness is a way of building community and really connecting with the people around me - whether I'm teaching a class or exploring nature with friends.

NMF: What are a few of your go-to healthy snacks/drinks that help keep you on the straight and narrow?

AT: Greens, greens, greens! When I'm home, my fridge is always stocked with fresh fruits and vegetables for smoothies and juices. I also love to make salad, so I'll use whatever is in the fridge to make a salad full of fresh, seasonal vegetables!

NMF: At Nadia Murdock Fit our motto is “Train Your Mind, Change Your Body” so we must ask: How do you train your mind and stay motivated?

AT: Meditation. My meditation practice has become an important part of my daily routine and helps keep me focused, grounded and motivated during busy days at home or when I'm traveling/teaching.

NMF: How do you change your body?  What are your fitness favorites?

AT: I like to keep it interesting with a little bit of everything. I love hiking and running to be outside - whether by the beach or deep in the mountains. I practice yoga and Pilates and also love boot camp/interval style classes. I try to really listen to my body and choose the workout option I'm craving most on any given day.
