Fit Friday: Treadmill Mountain Climbers

Next time you are at the gym switch things up and try performing mountain climbers on the treadmill. Make sure the treadmill is off, the idea is that you are powering the belt by using the strength of your legs. 

How it works: Get in traditional push-up position with the top of your toes on top of the treadmill. Begin powering the belt by pushing off with your starting foot.  You will instantly feel the resistance of the belt. Do this for 30 seconds and perform a strength training move in between like push-ups or squats off the treadmill. 

Perform 5 reps of 30-second mountain climbers. Over time as you get stronger increase the amount of reps.
