Dorm Room Workouts in a Crunch Series: Cardio
In the first Dorm Room Workout posting I shared how I really packed on the pounds my freshman year of college. My freshman 15 (30) was due to a number things including home sickness and poor diet choices. This is why I love the Dorm Room Workouts series, I really wanted to connect with college students and share easy workouts that can be done when far away from home.
Contributing writer and college senior Brianna Crosby knows first hand how to get your cardio in before class no matter the space or time restrictions! Check out a few of Brianna's workouts below.
Jumping Jacks
Jump Squats
Start in a squat position as shown below, making sure your knees never go over your toes. Jump upright in the air and land lightly in this same squat position.
Mountain Climbers
This move targets abdominal muscles, glutes, quads and hamstrings. Start with your hands on the floor slightly wider then shoulder width. On forefeet, position one leg forward bent under your body & extend other leg. Alternate legs in a quick fashion.
