Oilogic: Safe Baby Essential Oils
I love discovering new brands, it's an extra perk when the entire family can benefit from my discoveries too! Oilogic is an essential oil brand that helps alleviate a number of common alignments from the sniffles to cuts and bruises. I have found it to be a great option when I don't want to always resort to medication and helps me stick to holistic options.
I spoke with the founders to get the nitty-gritty on the brand and how they started!
NMF: I love how this product is created for busy Moms by busy Moms. What encouraged the need/demand for these products?
Oilogic: When your child isn’t feeling well, a mom will do just about anything to make them feel better again. After one too many desperate nights, feeling like our only option to care for our fussy baby was with harsh chemicals and mildly effective treatments, our idea of Oilogic was born. Then we discovered the power of Essential Oils and how to use them to care for our little ones. However, we got overwhelmed quickly with how to use Essential Oils, struggled with how to blend them correctly, and dilute them properly. After partnering with experts in both the natural and baby care industries to perfect them, we conveniently packaged them up for other busy moms to use.
NMF: I love how you point out the oils are diluted and should be used after 6 months of age. Can you explain that more?
Oilogic: Our blends are diluted properly within the blend and moisturizing carrier oils to provide a safe, yet effective solution for your baby or toddler. Essential oil by itself would be too powerful causing a reaction on the skin. We use such oils as Jojoba Oil, Castor Oil, and Coconut Oil, which are all natural, vegetable-based carrier oils and BONUS - they also happen to have some amazing, moisturizing benefits!
