Healthy Learning at the Liberty Science Center

Last summer I wasn't able to do all the activities I wanted to do with Max, largely because of age.  Now that he is a little older visiting the Liberty Science Center was at the top of my list next to splash pads and the beach.

Needless to say when I was offered the opportunity to visit the Liberty Science Center with my entire family I couldn't wait. To escape the hot humidity we have been experiencing but still spend time with the family we visited the center two weeks ago.  In particular, I was interested in these pop-ups appropriate for kids under age 5. Those exhibits include Arthur's World, Grossology, Block Party, Jack Horner's Dino Dig. I love them because they provide kids with the tools they need to play, develop their imaginations and explore STEM concepts.

STEM stands for science, technology, engineering, and math. STEM education integrates concepts that are usually taught as separate subjects in different classes and emphasizes the application of knowledge to real-life situations.

Aruthur's World was cool because it combines classic storybook scenes and characters kids are familiar with. It was fun to see the kids engage and have fun with these characters.

We were able to spend the entire morning there without my son getting bored! I particularly love the Grossology exhibit that is filled with a ton of health factoids. The imaginative displays are exciting for kids of all ages. My son especially loved the Block Party, being able to explore blocks bigger than the ones he plays with at home was fun!

At the Dino Dig kids were able to explore and uncover massive dinosaur bones by digging through 35 tons of sand!
