NMF: Has fitness always been a major part of your life or was there a catalyst/point in your life when you made it more of a focus and priority?

AI: Since I can remember going back to my childhood years, fitness has been a huge part of my life. Growing up I was involved in every sport that I could play. If I wasn’t in school I was on a field, court or track. I was extremely competitive and playing sports was a personal adrenaline rush. I couldn’t get enough of it. I carried that in to my college years. After graduating from college, I still stayed physically active but more for personal fitness. It was 1999 that I got the itch to compete again and started racing triathlons. I became addicted to the sport and training for races. I found my fitness passion was in endurance sports. I loved to see how far I could push my body, and then see if I could go a little further. In 2008 I decided to make fitness my fulltime professional career. I created and launched R.I.P.P.E.D. – The One Stop Body Shock group exercise fitness program. Since then, I have been blessed with several opportunities, like KettleWorX, to share my passion and experience to the masses who want to live a healthy ‘fit’ lifestyle.

NMF: What are a few of your go-to healthy snacks/drinks that help keep you on the straight and narrow?

AI: I love to eat. I would have to say that my favorite ‘healthy’ snack would be BNRG’s Peanut Butter Crème Power Crunch Bars. I’m a huge peanut butter fan and this bar satisfies my cravings.

NMF: At Nadia Murdock Fit our motto is “Train Your Mind, Change Your Body” so we must ask: How do you train your mind and stay motivated?

AI: Motivation is the key to living a healthy lifestyle. I see it all the time when I work with my clients. Initially they are extremely motivated to set fitness goals to transform their body, but at some point along that journey they loose or start to drift away from that one thing that jump started their journey. It’s a constant mind game. Personally, and for my clients, it’s creating a constant reminder to go back and ask yourself…WHY? What motivated you to make the change? If you forget the WHY, you loose the motivation.

NMF: How do you change your body?  What are your fitness favorites?

AI: You CHANGE the way you THINK and DO and results will follow. My personal motto is “One Change….Changes Everything”. I truly believe that if you make one small change big results will follow. Living a healthy life is simple. There is no secret complicated.
